GIO supports a in Fatehpur Sikri, India
Following the successful 4th International Convention of the Global Indian Organization (GIO), held in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, members of the South African delegation visited a school in Fatehpur Sikri under the leadership of Ms. Rita Abraham, GIO Global Ambassador.
During the visit, the delegation distributed school packs containing essential stationery supplies and snacks to the learners. The initiative brought immense joy to the children and highlighted GIO’s continued commitment to supporting education and community development.
The School serves a very poor rural community, where many children face significant challenges in accessing educational resources. Despite studying in modest classrooms with limited facilities, the learners demonstrate remarkable determination, resilience, and a strong desire to succeed academically. Their enthusiasm for learning and positive attitude were evident throughout the visit.
Ms. Rita Abraham, together with members of the GIO France Paris Chapter, has been supporting the school for several years, regularly visiting and providing much-needed items based on the school’s requirements. Their ongoing dedication has helped improve the learning environment and has brought encouragement and hope to both the students and teachers.
The smiles on the children’s faces as they received their gifts spoke volumes. Their gratitude, excitement, and eagerness to learn served as a reminder that even small acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.
The visit was a heart warming conclusion to the convention and reflected the core values of GIO – service, compassion, and a commitment to uplifting communities through education and humanitarian outreach.
