Born and raised in India, Mr. Laxman carries a deep sense of responsibility toward giving back to society. He actively supports underprivileged children and contributes to charitable organizations, while also encouraging local community associations to participate in social upliftment initiatives.
With over 20 years of experience in Information Technology, leadership, and community engagement, Mr. Laxman is a dedicated professional committed to both organizational excellence and meaningful social impact.
He currently serves on the Global Cultural Council (GCC) of the Global Indian Organisation (GIO) and has also contributed his expertise as a board member of several esteemed organizations, providing strategic guidance and leadership.
Mr. Laxman has demonstrated an inspiring commitment to social entrepreneurship, taking on numerous leadership roles and championing causes close to his heart. His efforts are focused on building a strong and sustainable ecosystem for the Indian diaspora across the globe, while fostering meaningful connections among communities and friends of India.
His core mission is to bring members of the Indian community together under one umbrella, with the aim of preserving and promoting rich cultural heritage. His primary vision is to deliver charitable, community, cultural, and social services across South Africa, India, and globally wherever needed.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Mr. Laxman served as a proud volunteer in the Vande Bharat Mission (VBM) repatriation initiative, coordinated by the High Commission of India in South Africa and the Consulate General of India in Johannesburg. He played a key role in arranging 12 charter flights, facilitating the safe return of individuals during a critical and challenging time.
