GIO International – National Cancer Awareness Day

Today, volunteers from the Global Indian Organization at Sanghol, Punjab and UR Public School, united for a Cancer Awareness Program in observance of National Cancer Awareness Day. With powerful messages and a spirit of unity, they raised awareness about cancer prevention and the importance of early detection. Guided by the Cordia Group of Educational Institutes and the Global Indian Organization, our young leaders are learning to make a positive impact in their community. .

GIO International – Diwali celebration

The Education Council of the Global Indian Organization (GIO) under the leadership of Dr Urmil Verma organized Diwali celebrations along with Cordia Group, at Cordia College, Sanghol, Punjab, with great enthusiasm. The event showcased cultural performances, including music and dance by the youth, capturing the spirit of the festival. The celebration concluded with a message from GIO Chairman, Lord Diljit Singh Rana, emphasizing the importance of spreading peace and harmony in society during this festive season.

Women’s International Day 2024- India-Punjab-Sanghol

Under the umbrella of GIO Education Council, International Women’s Day was celebrated at Cordia Group Of Institutes (Colleges and School), Sanghol, Punjab, India, in the presence of Superintendent Of Police, Sh. Rakesh Yadav from Fatehgarh Saheb, Punjab, CEO, Principal, faculty, and students of Cordia Group. Local women from Sanghol and nearby villages, who are doing well in their profession, working for the Society, were facilitated. Dr. Urmil Verma,Chairperson, GIO Education Council, motivated the women and all girl students, especially to do the best in life, to enhance their skills, uplift the self, and work for the betterment of the society. he Significance, aims , objectives, and mission of GIO, working for the Society, were highlighted.Chairman GIO, Lord Diljit Rana, delivered the keynote speech and appreciated the efforts of women, who are shouldering multi responsibilities : at work place, in the family and towards Society.The students performed enthusiastically in various cultural items.Here attached sharing few glimpses :Dr. Urmil VermaGIO Chairperson Education Council

CONDOLENCE MESSAGE FOR THE DEATH OF HER MAJESTY QUEEN ELIZABETH II

Her Majesty The Queen’s Passing Away comes as great shock to us, we the members of GIO (Global Indian Organisation) convey our deep condolences to the Royal Family. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was most loved by all not only in United Kingdom and territories but throughout the Commonwealth and beyond. She was most kind and caring. I had the good fortune of meeting Her Majesty a few times over the last 3 decades. In early 2003, I was invited for lunch at the Buckingham Palace. There were 7 other guests, The Queen and Prince Phillip and their Secretaries. Within a few minutes of conversations, we were made to feel at home. We talked about common subjects, sport, TV programs etc. I was asked about life in Belfast. By the end of the lunch, we felt as if we have known the Royals for a long time. Such was the warmth and kind hospitality offered to us. She was truly peoples Queen. She will be remembered and missed for a long time to come. May [..Continue..]
