Pat van de Loosdrecht is a globally recognised energy executive and
transformational leader with over 25 years of international experience across Africa,
Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia. Her career spans the energy and
petrochemical sectors, underpinned by a deep commitment to innovative inclusive
leadership, sustainability, and cross-border collaboration. She is the Global Women’s
Council Chair at GIO International, where she drives initiatives that advance
inclusive leadership, gender equity, and sustainable growth worldwide within the
Indian diaspora.

A Chemical Engineer with an MBA and a Certified Director with the Institute of
Directors South Africa, Pat has held multiple executive roles with full profit-and-loss
accountability. She is widely respected for her ability to navigate complex systems,
build public–private partnerships, shape regulatory frameworks, and deliver major
infrastructure and energy projects with strategic precision and social impact.

Beyond her executive career, Pat is a passionate advocate for women’s
empowerment in male-dominated sectors. She is the Southern Africa Chair of Lean
In Equity & Sustainability and the founder of Lean In Southern Africa Leaders, a
platform advancing inclusive leadership, intergenerational exchange, and crosssector dialogue. In recognition of her impact, she was named to the Africa Oil Week
Pan African Female Leaders in Energy Top 50 Power List (2022).

Pat also currently contributes her expertise to several commercial and non-profit
boards and advisory panels, bringing deep insight into global market dynamics and
energy transition. Her systems-thinking approach, global outlook, and dedication to
equitable innovation make her a sought-after speaker and facilitator on international
platforms.
