Ms. MONIKA YADAV

Chairperson, GIO Youth Council , Director, IEFP India (Indore)

Ms. Monika Yadav is a dynamic leader with a diverse professional background spanning journalism, hospitality, international marketing, and youth leadership. Raised in a farming family in Madhya Pradesh, she developed an early understanding of rural livelihoods and the agricultural ecosystem. She holds a degree in Commerce and Marketing from Bhopal.

Monika began her professional journey in journalism and later moved to the hospitality industry, where she gained hands-on experience in procurement, guest relations, and event management. Drawing inspiration from her agricultural roots, she identified significant opportunities in promoting healthy, GMO-free food products—creating value for consumers while improving income potential for rural households. She shifted her career focus and currently serves as Director of IEFP India, leading International Marketing and Communications for Healthy Food initiatives. Her work bridges farmers, markets, and global stakeholders to promote sustainable and health-conscious food systems.

In addition to her professional achievements, Monika has represented India as a national-level cricket player and has actively participated in basketball and football. She is also a professional biker, having travelled extensively across multiple Indian states to explore the country’s cultural diversity and historical heritage.

Ms. Yadav was appointed to initiate and lead the GIO Youth Council, where she is committed to integrating the perspectives, ambitions, and challenges of youth from India and the global diaspora. Her mission is to create meaningful connectivity through collaborative programs, leadership platforms, and international engagement.
